[X-DAY] Oops...now what?

For those of you who couldn't make it to The Greatest Event in Yetisyn History, I _do_ pity you. But just to help ease the pain, you can check out the pamphlet that I was distributing at 7:01 AM 7/5/98, while the angry mob was tarring & feathering Reverend Stang.

It was one incredible party. The fact that Brushwood is about 100 miles from anywhere helped to keep out the worst of the Bobbies (except maybe me), and whatever pact the pagans have made to keep out the bugs seems to have worked. (It's a pity the negoitations for good weather seemed to have broken down on Saturday, though...)

It was a great time. I got to meet people I knew only through their voices and writings, Jesus Christ autographed my Bible, I kicked a severed pig's head, was nearly killed by misdirected fireworks, danced around a bonfire with assorted naked pagans, met a lot of insanely cool folks, bought entirely too much SubGenius merchandise, helped complete my Jack Chick comic collection, sold a mysterious piece of computer gear that even _I_ don't know what it does, fought in the Battle of Armageddon alongside Ivan Stang (whose motto for said fight should've been "I've fallen, and I can't get up!"), got up on stage and ranted, and generally did stuff you just CAN'T do at a Sci-fi convention fnord.

Mind you, I nearly fell asleep at the wheel during the killing 300-mile trip home, but that's just natural selection in action. X-ists or no, I DEFINITELY got my $30 worth,

Now I just have to wonder....what's planned for _next_ year?

(and what's G. Gordon Gordon's beef with we Discordians, anyway?)
